About Brentford

Brentford were founded in 1889 by members of a local rowing club and spent more than a century at Griffin Park, their home from 1904 until 2020. The club moved a short distance to the Brentford Community Stadium in Gunnersbury for the 2020/21 season.

Brentford’s best early years came in the 1930s, when they finished fifth in the top flight in 1935/36. They then spent decades in the lower divisions until a revival under Thomas Frank, who led the club to the Premier League through the 2021 Championship play-off final.

Brentford play in red and white stripes with black shorts, and their nickname, the Bees, is one of the best known in English football. The club has been recognised for its data-driven approach to recruitment and player development.
