Your Home for Football News, Guides and League Tables

TuSportNews is a football site for fans who want the game explained, not just reported. Start with plain-English guides to rules, tactics and terminology, keep up with daily news and match reports, or explore leagues from the Premier League to the Saudi Pro League, the J1 League and the Kenyan Premier League. Our league pages track fixtures, results and standings across the Big Five European leagues, MLS, the Saudi Pro League and the CAF Champions League, and our tournament coverage puts a special focus on African football, from AFCON 2027 to the CAF club competitions. Whether you are new to the sport or have followed it for decades, there is something here worth reading.

Football Terms and Rules Explained

Ever nodded along while a commentator threw around “low block”, “xG” or “aggregate score” and hoped nobody asked you to explain? Our football glossary is built for exactly that moment. Every guide opens with a direct answer in plain English, then adds real match examples so the idea sticks. Start with the rules that confuse newer fans most, such as offside, red cards versus yellow cards and what AET means after a cup tie. Then move on to the numbers behind modern analysis, like expected goals and how to read GD, GF and GA in a league table, and finish with tactical ideas such as low blocks, parking the bus and clean sheets. Keep it open in another tab during your next match and the game gets a lot easier to follow.

Fixtures, Results and Standings for the Big Five

Wondering who plays next? The Upcoming Fixtures panel on this page lists the next 7 matches in the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga and Ligue 1, with kick-off times in your own timezone and a refresh every 10 minutes. A match drops off the list the moment it kicks off, so everything you see is still to come. For the full picture, open the Premier League, La Liga, Serie A, Bundesliga or Ligue 1 page to see every fixture, recent results and the current table in one place.

A league table is easier to read once you know the shading. The top 4 places are marked for the Champions League, the next places for the Europa League or Conference League, and the bottom places for relegation. The Premier League, La Liga and Serie A have 20 clubs and relegate 3. The Bundesliga and Ligue 1 have 18 clubs, relegate 2 and send the 16th-placed side into a promotion play-off.

Where Our Football Data Comes From

Football stats are only useful if you can trust where they come from. The match statistics, fixtures and results referenced across TuSportNews are provided by Sportradar, an award-winning, Nasdaq-listed sports data company founded in 2001 and headquartered in Switzerland. Sportradar works with organisations including UEFA and FIFA and covers more than a million events a year across all major sports, so the numbers behind our guides, news and match analysis come from a professional provider rather than guesswork. Other league pages refresh every few hours, and each one shows when it was last updated. No data source is perfect, so figures can occasionally be delayed or corrected, and everything on the site is for information only. Want to know who is behind the site? Read more about TuSportNews.

Football Leagues From Around the World

Football does not stop at England, Spain, Italy, Germany and France. Some of the most compelling stories sit outside Europe’s biggest five leagues, such as Brazil’s second tier, which is home to some of the biggest names in South American football. Our leagues coverage brings those stories to you, from the Saudi Pro League and Japan’s J1 League to the Egyptian, Kenyan and Nigerian domestic scenes and Malaysia’s Super League. Every guide is written around the local game, covering how the league works, who the big clubs are and why it deserves a place on your radar. Want fixtures, results and standings in one place? Our league pages cover 23 popular leagues and competitions, from the Premier League to the Copa Libertadores.

African Football Tournaments Explained

African football has never had a bigger spotlight than right now. Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda will co-host AFCON 2027, the first Africa Cup of Nations ever shared between three countries, and our complete AFCON 2027 guide covers the hosts, the format and what to expect. To see who is actually getting there, follow the AFCON 2027 qualifiers and plan your year with the African football calendar for 2027. Behind the national teams sits a whole ecosystem of competitions worth understanding, including the CAF Champions League and the CAF Confederation Cup for clubs, and CHAN, the home-based players’ tournament that has now been discontinued. Every guide explains the formats and the stories in plain English, so you can follow the continent’s football even if you are new to it.
