About Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace trace their roots to a club formed around the Crystal Palace exhibition building in 1861, and the current club was founded in 1905. Palace moved to Selhurst Park in 1924, where they play today.

For most of their history Palace moved between divisions, with a famous run to the 1990 FA Cup final that ended in a replay defeat to Manchester United. The club’s first major trophy finally came in 2025, when Palace beat Manchester City 1-0 in the FA Cup final, followed by the Community Shield that summer and the Conference League in 2026.

Palace play in red and blue stripes, and their nickname, the Eagles, is reflected in the club crest. The Selhurst Park crowd, known for its noisy atmosphere, is among the most distinctive in the Premier League.
