About Leeds United
Leeds United were founded in 1919, after the old Leeds City club was disbanded, and have played at Elland Road since their first season. The club became one of the strongest sides in England under manager Don Revie, in charge from 1961 to 1974.
Under Revie, Leeds won league titles in 1968/69 and 1973/74, the League Cup in 1968, the FA Cup in 1972 and the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1968 and 1971, and reached the 1975 European Cup final. The club won its third league title in 1991/92, the last before the Premier League began.
Leeds play in all white, a kit introduced by Revie in the 1960s in imitation of Real Madrid, which gave the club its nickname, the Whites. The club has returned to the Premier League after winning the Championship in 2019/20 and 2024/25.
