About Lille OSC

Lille OSC were founded in 1944 through a merger of two northern clubs and play at the Decathlon Arena, also known as the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, in Villeneuve-d’Ascq, a modern stadium with a retractable roof. The club’s nickname, Les Dogues, the mastiffs, comes from the dog on its crest.

Lille won the league in 1945/46 and 1953/54, then again in 2010/11 in a league and cup double, and in 2020/21, when they finished ahead of a PSG side with far greater resources.
